Bring cases up to date

When you change a template, the cases it already ran on keep their old values and documents. After you save, click Review cases, tick the cases, choose what to update, and say yes in the chat.

New runs use a template change right away. Cases the template ran on before still hold what the old version made, so the app offers to update them. This opens on Pro.

Fig. 01The app finds the cases made with the old version, you choose what to update, and nothing runs before you say yes.

Find the cases

After you save a change, the editor says Cases this template already ran on may be out of date. Click Review cases. The dashboard opens on the cases made with an earlier version of the template.

Click Select cases and tick the ones to update, up to 100 at a time.

Fig. 02Three clicks take you from the saved template to the cases it should update.

Choose what to update

The bar over the list has two choices. Tick one or both, then click Bring up to date.

Confirm in the chat

The AI assistant opens with a summary. Nothing runs until you reply yes. When a case is missing an answer the template now needs, the assistant asks for it one case at a time, with Save and next and Skip.

Updating spends AI tokens. If they run out partway, the remaining cases stay as they were.

To make a document for cases this template never filled, run the template on many cases instead.
