Creating a workspace

A workspace groups related cases under a shared configuration. Create one from the workspace switcher in the dashboard sidebar.

A workspace groups related cases under a shared configuration. Create one from the workspace switcher in the dashboard sidebar.

What you need

  • Owner or Member role in your organization, with a Pro subscription (workspace create / save / delete require Pro)
  • A rough idea of the case identifier (the field that uniquely names a unit of work — Invoice Number, Permit ID, Vendor Name)

Step by step

  1. Open the workspace switcher in the dashboard sidebar.
  2. Click + next to Workspaces. The Create New Workspace drawer opens.
  3. Set the identity: a short name like Invoice Intake or Permit Applications, an icon, and an accent color.
  4. Pick the case-list display: choose which template fields render as the title, subtitle, and tags on each case row.
  5. Click Create Workspace. It opens with the default mailboxes (Inbox, Archived, Trash) and an empty case list.
  6. From the new workspace, head to Templates to add templates and Categories to set up file routing.

Field visibility and the danger zone unlock after creation, once the workspace exists and has templates assigned.
