Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Document Blueprint, a document-automation platform operated by Document Blueprint ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, accepting these Terms, or using the service, you ("you", "Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The service

Document Blueprint is a configuration-driven platform for automating document workflows. You define document templates, configure data sources (uploads, Gmail, Google Drive), and the service extracts structured data from inbound files using Google's Gemini models, prefills your templates, and generates output PDFs. The service composes Gmail drafts on your behalf — it does not send email directly.

The service is currently in early access. Features may change, performance may vary, and you should not rely on the service for time-critical or safety-critical work without independent verification of every output.

2. Eligibility and account

To use the service you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). The service is intended for business-to-business use; consumer applications and any workflow that primarily processes children's data are out of scope.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at legal@documentblueprint.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not share login credentials across users. Each user accessing the service must have their own account or be added as an explicit collaborator on a case.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

4. Restricted data and regulated industries

The service supports storing and processing sensitive personal data (Social Security Numbers, dates of birth, financial account numbers, tax identifiers, driver's license numbers, passport numbers, payment card numbers, medical record numbers, patient identifiers, and similar data) under enhanced encryption controls described in the Privacy Policy. The following categories require additional contractual coverage or are prohibited:

5. AI output and your responsibility

The service uses Google's Gemini models in a deterministic, structured-output mode — the AI fills constrained fields you have defined, not open-ended generation. AI output may nonetheless contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated and AI-extracted output before legal, regulatory, contractual, medical, or financial submission. The service is a tool to assist your work; it is not a substitute for professional judgment, legal advice, medical advice, or licensed expertise.

You retain ownership of the documents and data you upload to the service. You grant us a limited license to process your content as necessary to provide the service.

6. Compose-don't-send

The service composes Gmail drafts on your behalf. It does not send email directly. You review and dispatch every email yourself. This is a deliberate safety posture — for high-stakes documents (legal filings, government forms, contracts, medical records), we keep a human in the loop on every dispatch.

7. Fees and billing

The service is offered on free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed by Stripe; we do not store payment-card information on our servers. By selecting a paid plan you agree to the recurring charges disclosed at checkout.

We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers. If you do not agree to new pricing, you may cancel before the next billing cycle.

8. Term and termination

These Terms apply for as long as you use the service. You may terminate by deleting your account or canceling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if continued provision creates legal or security risk, or if we discontinue the service. We will give reasonable notice except in cases of urgent abuse.

Upon termination, your data is retained according to the retention schedule disclosed in the Privacy Policy. You may request export or deletion at any time by emailing privacy@documentblueprint.com.

9. Warranty disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF AI-GENERATED OUTPUT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF SECURITY VULNERABILITIES.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY UNDER OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100). IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of (a) your use of the service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, (b) your content uploaded to the service, or (c) your infringement of any third party's rights. We will indemnify you against third-party IP infringement claims arising from the unmodified service operating as intended, subject to standard exclusions.

12. Electronic signatures and records

By using the service to generate, sign, accept, or transmit documents, you consent to the use of electronic records and electronic signatures under the U.S. E-SIGN Act (15 U.S.C. §7001 et seq.) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) as adopted by your state. You may withdraw this consent at any time by emailing legal@documentblueprint.com — withdrawal terminates your ability to use the service.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration in Wilmington, Delaware, administered by JAMS under its Comprehensive Arbitration Rules. Class actions, class arbitrations, and representative actions are waived. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for IP infringement or unauthorized use of credentials.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes that materially affect your rights or obligations, we will require you to re-accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the service.
